Minister of State Office of the Vice President (Union and Environment) Hon. Selemani Jafo, has said that the statistics provided by the Wami/Ruvu Basin Water Board are important because they have been helping the Government, especially its Ministry, to take precautions regarding the whole issue of Climate Change in the water sources including Rivers and Dams. Minister Jafo made this statement in Dodoma during the Environment Week when he visited the Pavilion of the Wami/Ruvu Basin Water Board.

He said that water resources are important for development and human well-being, so he has called on the Board to be the front line to guide the Government through its data so that it can take appropriate measures to deal with the effects of the environment on water sources.
